Crosby Continues All-Star Voting Dominance!

It appears that the 1,000 votes I have put in for Sidney Crosby and Rory Fitzpatrick are really starting to pay off. Sidney is a shoo-in for the game itself, but it's nice to know that the fans think he is #1 and realize that Alexander "The Blogless" Ovechkin is just not as All-Star worthy as our boy.

If the voting holds up, it looks good for the Penguins to have their three brightest stars make the All-Star team roster for the Eastern Conference.

From the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review:

Sidney Crosby continues to lead all Eastern Conference forwards in voting for the NHL All-Star Game, which will take place in Dallas next month.

Crosby, currently the sixth leading scorer in the league with 36 points, is the top vote-getter among all Eastern Conference players with 401,345 tallies. His teammate, rookie Evgeni Malkin, is second among Eastern Conference forwards with 217,146 votes. Malkin leads all rookies with 25 points.

Marc-Andre Fleury is second among Eastern Conference goaltenders with 208,492 votes. He trails Buffalo goaltender Ryan Miller, who has totaled 253,024 votes.

Approximately 12 million votes have been cast in the all-digital voting program for the NHL All-Star Game. Voting will determine the starting lineups for the contest, which will be played on Jan. 24.
