No Sid Tonight
I hope everyone had a nice holiday! It seems that Sidney is close to being ready for a second return, but it won't be in time for tonight's game. From the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette:
About tonight's game @ NY Islanders: Rob Scuderi will be coming back; Ty Conklin will be in between the pipes, and Pascal Dupuis is taking the night off to be with his wife as they welcome their 3rd child!

Sidney Crosby won't be in the Penguins' lineup when they try to clinch a playoff berth this evening.(Thanks to Dayna and an anonymous commenter for sending this in to me!)Don't call it a comeback - at least not yet...
Crosby participated in the Penguins' game-day skate at Nassau Coliseum, but pronounced himself not ready to return for tonight's game against the New York Islanders at 7:08. Crosby said he will "not necessarily" rule himself out of the Penguins' game at New Jersey tomorrow.

Whenever Sid feels ready, he should add another week. The important thing is he's back and healthy for the playoffs. So ... hopefully he actually feels 100% ready now, but is giving it a bit extra to be safe.
Ahh...Well, it's great to have Scuderi back in the lineup!
Although I'll miss seeing Dupuis tonight, I congratulate him and his wife as they welcome their third child!
Speaking of Ty Conklin...I really enjoyed him as the third commentator for the game on Saturday. He did a pretty great job!
Go PENS!!
