Crosby to play close to home in NHL Preseason

Folks in Atlantic Canada will be thrilled to know that Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins will be playing not one, but TWO, preseason games in their area this fall.

It was announced this morning that the Pittsburgh Penguins will play two of their first pre-season NHL games at neutral arenas on September 19th and 20th.

Writer Dave Molinari leaves a footnote on the morning's article releasing the news that the first game will feature the Pittsburgh Penguins versus the Ottawa Senators September 19th in Halifax, Nova Scotia. It is noted that Halifax is nearby Cole Harbour, the town in which Sidney Crosby grew up in.

In other action, the Pittsburgh Penguins will face the rival Philadelphia Flyers in Moncton, New Brunswick the very next day
These could be two of the only preseason games in history where people actually really want to go to them :)
